Barry Bonds can support Lance Armstrong

Barry Bonds knows what an athlete experiences, when he/she is targeted by feds and anti-doping officials. He understands what this individual feels. That’s why the former professional baseball player can sympathize and support sportspeople accused of doping. So, Barry Bonds supports the former American cyclist Lance Armstrong.
During an interview a journalist asked Barry Bonds about troubles of Lance Armstrong related to doping suspicions. The former baseball player expressed his admiration towards the cyclist. He confirmed that Lance Armstrong was the most excellent cyclist that has ever been in the sport of cycling.
Of course, Barry Bonds realizes what he says. He realizes what it means to be a good cyclist. After this person retired from baseball, he became a cyclist. He participated in certain competitions successfully. Being a cyclist, Barry Bonds sees that this sport has the same problems like baseball. He understands that cyclists are pursued by the government and anti-doping officers like professional baseball players.
Both Lance Armstrong and Barry Bonds were suspected of doping. They were prosecuted by federal prosecutors and anti-doping officers.
Feds accused Barry Bonds of lying about application of forbidden substances and obstruction of justice. They couldn’t prove that the athlete lied about intake of banned substances. But feds found him guilty of obstructing justice. The former baseball player decided to appeal the decision of the court.
As for Lance Armstrong, the government dropped the case against him. But the USADA continued to target the cyclist. The USADA confirmed that Lance Armstrong had been applying forbidden substances throughout his cycling career. The cyclist decided to stop fighting against accusations of the anti-doping agency. He was stripped of his Tour de France titles and money he had received at these events.
However Lance Armstrong lost his titles, Americans continue to respect him. They affirm that he is the most wonderful cyclist of all times. Lance Armstrong’s sponsors continue to support his cancer charity. The seven-time Tour de France winner helps people to fight against cancer. Thus, many persons are thankful. They will always remember what Lance Armstrong has done for them.
Barry Bonds’ reputation has been spoiled by accusations connected with usage of banned substances. The former baseball player hopes that his achievements during the baseball career are more significant than the accusations. He believes that people will forget about the accusations and he will be considered to be a baseball star.
