Blaming steroids, what do you think about drugs that increase cognitive performance?

Journalists frequently write articles about those that possess unnaturally increased muscles and endurance. Reading their statements, you can see that those who take anabolic steroids and/or other related medicines are harshly blamed. Such individuals are criticized in our society. They are named “cheaters”. It is stated that those who apply steroids for athletic purposes may get addiction to these drugs. Numerous articles also contain information about possible unwanted reactions of steroids. Although certain undesirable reactions occur in steroid users, others are not proven scientifically. For example, it is widely reported about violence and murders committed by steroid users. It is claimed that anabolic steroids may lead to uncontrolled behavior which results in crimes. However, so named “roid rage” linked with these products is considered to be a controversial issue.
A lot of persons affirm that application of steroids for enhancement of muscle mass and strength, hardening of muscles and fat loss is a moral issue. Let analyze! Is this statement free from hypocrisy? Why are only anabolic steroids demonized? Do just these preparations make the society unnatural? Let analyze other conditions of the society! What do you think about sex stimulants? It is said that you should not suffer from sexual disorders, when there are appropriate products to get rid of such problems. Furthermore, what do you think about preparations for anti-aging needs? Why should you have evident wrinkles, if there are ways to hide your age? Models and actors take some products but they are not called “cheaters”. Students use several medicines in order to enhance their cognitive abilities. They are not blamed too. Certain specialists that have conducted several studies claim that those that use steroids for enhancement of physical capacities are more harshly demonized than those that administer some medications to increase cognitive capacities. Is it fair?
As you see, our society is full of hypocrisy, ignorance and unfair accusations. May you demonize consumers of steroids in this society? May you state that administration of steroids for performance-enhancing effects is a moral issue? Be real! If you begin to demonize consumers of steroids, don’t forget about other aspects of life!
