Operation Gilde led to arrests of certain persons, including high-qualified coaches

Norwegian police have busted a large doping ring. More than 10 persons related to illicit operations were arrested. Six persons were sentenced to imprisonment.
According to affirmations of the newspaper Dagens N?ringsliv (DN), the doping ring was located in Trondheim. DN published own investigation connected with illicit sale of anabolic steroids in Norway. Police officers investigated the case.
It is suggested that a secret center is established in Trondheim. It administrates illicit distribution of doping drugs and money laundering.
The arrested individuals were connected with bodybuilding, fitness and health industries in Norway. Certain individuals were arrested at their homes; others – in business offices, parking lots and tram stops.
Investigators suppose that certain persons are masked by the names of Guru and Karma.
Robert Eilertsen is one of those who have been arrested. He is an operator and editor of a fitness blog. He coached famous sportspeople within football, boxing, handball, etc.
It is believed that Eilertsen and several other individuals have provided dangerous doping medications to Norwegian youth during numerous years.
Circa 60 police officers were involved in raids. The raids caused 11 arrests.
Since the investigation has not been finished, police officers announce nothing about their further actions.
Norwegian customs officers and tax authorities assisted the investigation.
Numerous computers and some documents were confiscated during raids of homes, business officers, cars, etc.
Eilertsen and Gunnar Strand Jacobsen, another arrested individual, have denied their links with doping drugs. Jacobsen is the owner of Kaliber Gym in Trondheim, one of the most prominent gyms in Norway. Jacobsen was personal trainer of sportspeople that obtained prizes. He coached athletes who attended to different sports. He is claimed to be a high-qualified nutrition expert.
The raid was called “Operation Gilde”.
Eilertsen and Jacobsen are accused in sale of doping medicines and money laundering.

Spain’s drug dealers implicated in international drug ring purchased properties abroad in order to hide illegal actions

Spain’s police officers arrested Scott Boote, a person, who was involved in illegal actions related to a multinational drug ring manufacturing stimulants which increase libido. Large quantities of medications were confiscated by policemen. It was estimated the street value of these medications. It was reported that it was almost ?3 million. A Briton, a 72-year-old man from Liverpool, was also questioned. According to reports of police officers, these two men manufactured eight new sexual stimulants and sold them via internet without providing medical controls. Six other individuals were also questioned during this investigation. Investigators confirmed that the individuals that were involved in this illegal drug ring bought cars and another property due to distribution of illegal sex drugs. Several bank accounts were blocked by police. More than 100,000 doses of anabolic steroids, properties and cars were seized.
A spokesperson for Spanish police affirmed that all members of the drug ring lived quite luxuriously. They possess many properties and luxury cars. They got properties abroad in order to hide the shaded business. Investigators defined that the ring sold sexual products for both males and females. The preparations were advertised on internet. Persons from around the world could order the products. Thus, people from the USA, the UK, Thailand, Malaysia, etc. were customers who acquired products from this ring. Three factories were set in Costa del Sol. Investigators suppose that those that were manufacturing the preparations didn’t have required knowledge for this purpose. According to them, the persons that were implicated in the drug ring managed also legitimate business in order to hide the illegal one. They tried to provide legitimate appearance to illegal operations. Their profits were masked by other legal commercial companies.
Boxes that had to be sent to customers were also found by police. Anabolic steroids were also included in the drugs seized by law enforcement officers. The arrested persons also possessed packages, labels and leaflets.

Steroid excuse in British court

Although it is not yet displayed scientifically whether uncontrolled aggressiveness is an adverse consequence of steroids, these drugs are blamed for different criminal actions quite frequently.
Michael Barton, a person from Britain, hit a Ford Fiesta, while he was driving his Volkswagen Golf. The driver of Ford Fiesta was Paul Gard. Barton had overtaken Paul Gard. But then Michael Barton had to pull back in front of Paul Gard, since another vehicle was driving the other way. Paul Gard flashed him. Thus, he had to brake suddenly. Barton became angry, stopped his car, broke the wing mirror of Paul Gard’s Ford Fiesta and hit Gard in the face. Then Gard’s wife called police. While she was calling, Barton left calmly.
Michael Barton, a 21-year-old person who has a son of two years old, applies steroids to bulk up. Thus, it has been said that these products affected his behavior. The defense attorney for Michael Barton confirmed that steroids had a negative impact on temperament of his client, since these products enhanced his testosterone levels.
Previously Barton was convicted for some crimes, including domestic violence. Last year this young man pleaded guilty to an assault, criminal damage and driving incautiously due to his anger following assaults.
The judge Patrick Hooton at Portsmouth Crown Court Deputy Circuit affirmed that he was not sure that steroids were responsible for the case. But he noticed that it was completely mad to get angered and hit a man in the face only because he flashed him. The judge noticed that Barton’s behavior was very shameful and he said: “you ought to go to prison”.
Thus, this young person was sentenced to 6-month jail sentence suspended for a year; he was also sentenced to pay 500 dollars in compensation and ?277 for damage of the vehicle.

Compounds contained in green and white tea can prevent excreting testosterone in urine

Sportspersons become more and more sophisticated in intake of steroids. They study new methods to mask their application of banned medications. Certain sportspersons spend time studying scientists’ statements which could help them to hide that they dope. Today a method has been discovered: athletes can mask administration of testosterone with the help of green tea.
Testosterone is a hormone which occurs in body naturally. So, it may be difficult for anti-doping organizations to determine that a person has used testosterone. T: E ratio testing is usually utilized by anti-doping organizations. Such tests may demonstrate uncommon ratio of testosterone to epitestosterone in urine. But it doesn’t have capacity to display difference between testosterone which has been produced in body naturally and that introduced into body with the help of injections, gels, etc.
Declan Naughton and his colleagues at Kingston University ( London) have determined that green tea has such compounds which are called “catechins”. They are capable to inhibit the enzyme UGT2B17. This enzyme induces attaching glucuronic acid to testosterone. If UGT2B17 is inhibited, less testosterone glucoronide is excreted in urine.
Catechins, the compounds that are capable to mask testosterone use, are contained in green and white tea. Black tea doesn’t contain such compounds.
Naughton and his colleagues have conducted certain experiments. They confirm that a cup of strong green tea hides administration of testosterone.
So, those sportspeople that take testosterone can lower quantities of testosterone excreting in urine by drinking of green or white tea. Green or white tea has capacity to block excretion of testosterone, enhancing circulating levels of this hormone.
The World Anti-Doping Agency was informed about the findings by the specialists. If this process occurs, it is not worthy to apply urine tests. Blood tests must be performed for detection of testosterone use.
Olivier Rabin, the WADA’s specialist, confirms that regular checks of blood steroids will be added. Everything will be done by anti-doping organizations in order to prevent fooling of urine tests.

Analysis of drug’s contents sent to Wim Vansevenant displayed that just amino acids were presented

The case linked with the former Belgian rider Wim Vansevenant changed surprisingly. An analysis displayed that the doping preparations which were ordered by him didn’t contain the contents written on the labels. The former rider was cheated by the company where he ordered the preparations.
Last year certain packages sent to this former professional rider by an Australian company were intercepted by customs officials. According to the labels of  the intercepted  bottles,  they contained the doping medicine TB-500. It represents a peptide hormone that has ability to induce increasing muscle power and promote healing. The Belgian authorities started an investigation. It was thought that Wim Vansevenant supplied the Omega Pharma-Lotto team with doping medications. This sportsperson rode professionally 10 years, from 1998 to 2008. Last 6 years of his career he was with this team.
An analysis of the bottles seized by customs manifested that they contained only amino acids. Wim Vansevenant’s attorney noted that the charges had to be dropped. He pointed out that since the preparation was not connected with doping, the former rider didn’t deserve to be punished.
Johan Lescrauwaet, the prosecutor’s spokesperson claimed that the contents didn’t correspond to the name of the medication that was written on the label and to the affirmations of the former athlete.
Only amino acids were found in the bottles. No any doping medicine. Thus, there is no any evidence that Wim Vansevenant provided doping medicines to other individuals.
The hearing of the former Belgian rider was scheduled to be later.

Bruce Goldberger in case against Roger Clemens: theory of contamination can present

Testimonies of the prominent toxicologist Bruce Goldberger will probably impact significantly on decision of the court in the case against Roger Clemens. Bruce Goldberger is the Professor of Pathology and Director of Toxicology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. This expert didn’t testify on behalf of the government. Although he was invited in order to replace Don Catlin, the director of the WADA UCLA Medicine, Goldberger’s testimonies differed from those that are ordinarily provided by anti-doping agencies. He testified on behalf of the accused sportsperson.
Bruce Goldberger has gotten his celebrity due to his participation in various news programs. Even during such programs he doesn’t refrain from critical words. Bruce Goldberger criticized some anti-doping organizations, including the WADA.
Bruce Goldberger expressed criticism for feds in the case connected with Roger Clemens. They based on “beer can evidence” presented by Brian McNamee to support that his client took steroids and HGH. Brian McNamee, the former personal coach of this sportsman, presented a beer can containing used needles and syringes which had traces of such steroids, as Sustanon, Primobolan Depot and Deca Durabolin and were mixed allegedly with blood of Roger Clemens. The beer can was stored by McNamee more than 6 years. Bruce Goldberger noted that such basis wasn’t reasonable.
Goldberger claimed that it was impossible to base on “beer can evidence”. He explained that the accusation couldn’t be proven because the theory of contamination could present.
Thus, Goldberger didn’t support the evidence used by the feds. Earlier he also expressed criticism linked with evidence used by several anti-doping agencies.
Some years ago Goldberger testified on behalf of Floyd Landis, an American celebrated cyclist, when this athlete appealed positives for steroids. A WADA-accredited lab located in France discovered traces of exogenous testosterone; T: E ratio and carbon isotope ratio tests were applied by the lab. Goldberger expressed similar words and criticism during the appeal linked with Floyd Landis.
Bruce Goldberger claimed during an interview that the WADA utilized unsuitable methods and violated rights of sportspeople in order to reach the success in anti-doping programs.
Floyd Landis didn’t have success in his appeal and acknowledged that he had applied steroids, EPO and some other related medicines.
Nobody can be sure which results will be achieved by Roger Clemens. Will the federal prosecutors prove that he has lied before the Congress? Will he admit to using banned medications? Or will be the results opposite?

Lack of changes in physical appearance of Roger Clemens serves as defending argument by his attorney

Every baseball fan knows that Roger Clemens is accused in obstruction of justice. It is believed that he has lied before Congress about administration of steroids and HGH.
Rusty Hardin, the attorney that was hired by Roger Clemens to defend him, noted that Roger Clemens’ muscularity didn’t change greatly before, during and after his working with the coach Brian McNamee. The attorney confirmed that this factor was a proof that Roger Clemens hadn’t taken steroids and other related medicines.
Appearance of muscles is frequently utilized by federal prosecutors as proof that a person takes steroids or/and other performance-enhancing drugs. But this tendency was not used during the governmental case against Roger Clemens. No one could affirm that muscles of Roger Clemens demonstrated that he had administered steroids and HGH. It is a difference between the cases against Roger Clemens and Barry Bonds.
When it comes to the governmental case against Barry Bonds, prosecutors called many individuals in the trial that were able to testify that anabolic steroids promoted essential changes in physical appearance of this sportsperson. They confirmed that application of steroids led to enhancement of muscle mass, enhanced size of the head and testicular atrophy in Barry Bonds.
Thus, Rusty Hardin showed four photos of Roger Clemens. The photos displayed physique of Roger Clemens, including the time when Clemens was working with the coach Brain McNamee. Hardin noticed that the photos manifested that there were no changes in physical appearance that could manifest that he utilized steroids and HGH.
The defense attorney for Roger Clemens claimed that the pictures displayed only the process of ageing. The masseur Cheryl Redfern also confirmed that she didn’t observe any changes in physique of Roger Clemens. Roger Clemens experienced neither back acne, nor gynecomastia, nor dramatically increased muscle mass.
The former Major League Baseball player Phil Garner also confirmed that there were not any significant changes in physical appearance and performance of Roger Clemens during working with the coach Brian McNamee.
The Assistant US Attorney Steve Durham put efforts to discredit the argument about lack of physical changes in Roger Clemens during the cross-examination of Garner. He noted that while some steroids enhanced muscle mass, others didn’t promote adding muscles. So, he claimed that the pictures could say nothing about steroid use.
Federal prosecutors desire to take advantages in both cases: in the case against Roger Clemens and in that against Barry Bonds. While they claim that physical changes in Barry Bonds display that he has administered steroids, lack of changes in physical appearance of Roger Clemens doesn’t prove that he hasn’t taken steroids.

Did steroids contribute in aggression of Anders Breivik?

Anders Behring Breivik is a murderer of over 70 persons. He bombed governmental buildings in Oslo (Norway). Teenagers of the Workers’ Youth League camp were also killed by this criminal on Utoya island in July 2011.
This person prepared for the crimes substantially. He admitted that he had utilized cycles with steroids.  Since he took steroids, these products were blamed for the murderes by numerous reporters.
But what did experts affirm? Joerge Moerland, a professor of forensic toxicology at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, contested affirmations of these journalists. The physician Joerge Moerland affirmed that anabolic steroids should not be demonized for the crimes. But the expert admitted that he couldn’t contest that these products could cause aggressiveness in Breivik.
An “ECA stack”, a combination of caffeine, aspirin and ephedrine, was also taken by Anders Breivik. In fact, this stack is commonly taken by bodybuilders in order to burn fat and stimulate themselves for trainings. It was defined that the killer has taken great amount of the stack. The amount applied by him was by 50 % high than it is permitted under rules of European Union.
The expert Moerland claimed that the killer’s behavior was more essentially influenced by the ECA than steroids. He explained that ephedrine might lead to desire to be involved in dangerous activities. Moerland affirmed that the murderer’s central nervous system had been affected by ephedrine.
Nevertheless, the expert Joerge Moerland mentioned about limitation of the ECA’ influence. The amount of caffeine consumed by Breivik was equal to circa 5 cups of coffee. Thus, the amount was not enough high in order to be demonized for the crimes.
Anders Breivik described his administration of steroids and dietary supplements in details. He also recommended other individuals purchasing steroids at Alinshop.
Breivik expressed his dislike of Dianabol because it could cause bloating. He noted that Dianabol could add more body mass than consumers could carry. According to his affirmations, about 50 % of the mass gotten because of this medicine is liquid retention. The murderer decided to apply certain combinations that were proper for his needs.
Breivik studied effects of different steroids in order to choose those who were suitable for his purposes. He claimed that Testosterone Propionate had certain priorities over Dianabol. He also suggested that combinations of Dianabol with Aromasin or usage of Dianabol followed by usage of Winstrol could benefit obviously.
So, the killer prepared for the massacre scrupulously. He spent time in order to study effects of steroids and plan steroid cycles and intake of dietary supplements. He also thought over every detail related to attacks and murders.
Although some persons believed that Breivik was legally insane, it’s wrong. It is evident that the crimes have been committed consciously.

Outlaw motorcycle gangs are involved in smuggling of steroids

The newspaper “The Sydney Morning Herald” reports that outlaw motorcycle gangs are responsible for spread of illegal steroid use in Australia. The gangs get high profit and reduced risks.
The detective Nick Bingham has affirmed that New South Wales Police doesn’t focus on investigation connected with steroid use but anabolic steroids become targets of investigations, when outlaw motorcycle gangs are arrested for violation of other laws.
According to Nick Bingham, although New South Wales police officers don’t raid houses of gangs for steroids, they find them, when searches for weapons and stimulants are conducted.
Nick Bingham has claimed that they ordinarily seize such quantities of steroids from motorcycle gangs which are only for personal application. Amounts of other medicines which are usually found in possession of gangs are much greater than those of steroids.
Bingham has claimed that criminals prefer taking anabolic steroids in order to have threatening muscular physiques. They desire to look big and strong.
However Bingham assures that gangs possess steroids just for personal usage, the newspaper “The Sydney Morning Herald” doesn’t agree with this statement. It is reported that motorcycle gangs are involved in smuggling of steroids.
Although gyms are claimed to be the chief sources of steroids for bodybuilders, it is confirmed by “The Sydney Morning Herald” that some gyms have direct links with motorcycle gangs. The Herald claims that many seizures made by the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service are linked directly with distribution of steroids by motorcycle gangs.
According to affirmations of Australian Customs, mail seizures of steroids have been enhanced significantly in comparison with past years.
Over 2, 000 seizures were made in 2009-2010 and more than 5, 000 seizures of steroids were recorded in 2010-2011.
Numerous seizures were related to self-administration of steroids imported illegally by bodybuilders.

It is not announced yet whether David Segui will be allowed to provide his testimonies in trial related to Roger Clemens

Federal prosecutors want the judge Reggie Walton to permit the Cuban-American former Major League Baseball first baseman David Segui to present testimony in the trial related to the case of Roger Clemens. This person had a conversation with Brian McNamee, the former coach of Roger Clemens. It is stated that they have discussed about application of steroids by the former baseball star.
Brain McNamee was called to testify against Roger Clemens because he turned out to be the only person who had direct knowledge about usage of steroids and other related products by Roger Clemens. Furthermore, he stored a beer can with vials, syringes and needles that were allegedly mixed with the blood of Roger Clemens. DNA analysis was made in order to confirm whether it was Clemens’ blood.
Rusty Hardin, a defense attorney for Roger Clemens, claimed that the steroid evidence was made by Brian McNamee after the interrogation by federal prosecutors.
But prosecutors claimed that David Segui told them that Brian McNamee said that he saved certain things as evidence of steroid use by some players in 2001. It was some years before Roger Clemens’ former trainer became the target of the investigation.
Information presented by Segui to federal prosecutors differed essentially from that provided to the sportswriter Jim Baumbach. His words presented to Jim Baumbach were published in an article in 2008. According to that piece of news, Segui confirmed that he had never spoken about steroids with his friend Brian McNamee.
David Segui learnt about involvement of Brian McNamee into the case of Roger Clemens only in 2006, when he read a piece of news in the Los Angeles Times.
Segui discussed openly about personal administration of steroids and other related products. He said that players of the Major League Baseball asked him many times whether he had used steroids. The former Major League Baseball first baseman acknowledged that he had applied them. But David Segui confirmed that he had never spoken about administration of steroids with Brian McNamee.
David Segui supported McNamee’s decision to store evidence about administration of banned preparations by his clients. According to David Segui, it is a reasonable decision because sometimes innocent guys are blamed but guilty guys are covered. Thus, Brian McNamee could help to disclose the truth.
However federal prosecutors asked the judge Walton to permit Segui to provide testimony in the trial connected with Roger Clemens, the decision of the judge is not announced yet.

Some dietary supplements cause positives for steroids

The professional boxer Andre Berto tested positive for the steroid Nandrolone. He was tested by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA).
This boxer had to fight against Victor Ortiz on June 23, 2012 in Los Angeles. This boxer agreed to submit to random drug testing before the fight. T: E ratio method and carbon isotope ratio testing were used; they both indicated about application of the anabolic steroid Nandrolone.
It was already the second time this month, when the VADA tested boxers and caught them taking steroids. The first of them was the boxer Lamont Peterson. He was scheduled to fight against Amir Khan. It is quite ironically that Peterson requested random blood and urine testing. A carbon isotope ratio test conducted by the VADA demonstrated that exogenous testosterone was in system of Peterson certain weeks before the match.
The tests conducted by the VADA influenced greatly on financial position of several companies. For example, Golden Boy Promotions lost essential potential profit due to Lamont Peterson’s positives. It was defined by the CEO of the company Richard Schaeffer that the company lost 250, 000 dollars.
The cancelation of the fight between Andre Berto and Victor Ortiz will probably not influence greatly on financial position of certain promotional companies because another boxer will possibly replace Andre Berto and will meet Ortiz.
As for the fighter Andre Berto, he didn’t provide any explanation for his positives. He hired the attorney Howard Jacobs that would represent and defeat him.
Berto confirmed that he had never administered steroids. So, he noted that he investigated with his attorney what could lead to positives for steroids. The fighter Andre Berto concluded that he had never cheated; he succeeded in sport because of hard workouts and dedication.
The attorney Howard Jacobs represented numerous other sportspersons who turned out to be victims of contaminated nutritional supplements.
It is claimed that since Nandrolone has too long half life and it is detected easily, it isn’t very popular among doping sportspeople. But it has been determined many times that several dietary supplements contained the ingredient nandrolone that led to positives for steroids. But since sometimes not every ingredient is enumerated on the label, athletes become victims of contaminated sport supplements.

Steroid user will meet Anderson Silva at UFC 148

Chael Sonnen is allowed to take anabolic steroids. The physician Timothy Trainor noted that this athlete really experienced hypogonadism.
What does this disease represent? Hypogonadism is linked with insufficient production of testosterone. Physicians ordinarily indicate testosterone replacement therapy in order to treat this disorder.
Chael Sonnen has obtained a therapeutic use exemption (TUE). So, this fighter is allowed to use steroids for clinical purposes and meet Anderson Silva at UFC 148 in July 2012.
According to recommendations of Chael Sonnen’s physician, he has to introduce injections of Testosterone Enanthate and Testosterone Cypionate twice weekly. The dosages that are indicated have not been disclosed. But under establishments of the Nevada Athletic Commission, blood serum levels of testosterone in this athlete should be within normal range on the morning after the match with Silva.
The doctor Trainor confirms that those who compete with TUE should be tested on the morning after the match to define whether they have applied something right before the fight.
The physician Trainor thinks that testosterone can produce performance-enhancing effects, if it is applied right before the fight. He confirms that injections must not be introduced in the days before a match in order to prevent high levels of testosterone.
But it seems that the NAC is not aware that steroids produce benefits connected with increase of performance, not only if they are applied right before competitions. Administration of steroids enhances performance during workouts before competitions. And the effects remain even after sportspeople stop applying them.
Sonnen had elevated testosterone levels at UFC 117. He confirmed that he had tested positive because he had been on TRT.  After his appeal the suspension was reduced to 6 months from one year. But he didn’t have any TUE that time.

Galabin Boevski was arrested at International Airport in Brazil

The world champion in weightlifting Galabin Boevski was sentenced to 9 months in prison due to illicit international drug trade. This sportsman was arrested in October 2011 at the Guarulhos International Airport in Brazil after he attempted to board the plane with 8 kg of cocaine. He was led to Bulgaria. The narcotic was estimated. It could be sold at the price of 500, 000 dollars on the streets in countries of Europe.
Galabin Boevski is a well-known person in Bulgaria. He is claimed to be one of the most well-known weightlifters in this country.
First he was caught using steroids in 1995. Undoubtedly, he was sentenced to suspension.
Then this weightlifter was caught doping in 2004. It was the second time when he broke doping laws. Actually, Boevski didn’t test positive for any prohibited medicines. But anti-doping officials defined that he didn’t provide own urine. The urine that was provided by this weightlifter belonged to another individual. As a result, Boevski received 8-year suspension. During serving the suspension he was caught smuggling cocaine.
Galabin Boevski became celebrated due to his success in weightlifting. This sportsperson won gold medals at some competitions: at the 1999 World Weightlifting Championships in Athens, the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and the 2001 World Weightlifting Championships in Antalya.
At the 2003 World Championships in Vancouver this athlete and his teammates from Bulgaria provided urine samples that belonged to another person. It was defined by anti-doping officials that the 3 urine samples belonged to one individual. These sportspersons were sentenced to suspensions. Galabi Boevski appealed the suspension but it was not successful.
Boevski broke some world records at various competitions. He held three world records. His best lifts were following: a 162, 5 kg snatch, 196, 5 kg clean and jerk and a 357, 5 kg of two lifts at the 1999 Championships.
It is strange but this sportsman’s reputation wasn’t destroyed in Bulgaria. He used his status of celebrity in sports in order to establish a Technogym fitness center in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. The center was named Atama Wellness and Spa.
Furthermore, the Brazilian judge Maria Isabel do Prado confirmed that Boevski utilized also his status of celebrity in sports in order to smuggle cocaine. She also added that this weightlifter used the participation of his daughter in a Brazilian tennis tournament to hide his illicit deals connected with smuggling of the narcotic.
The weightlifter Boevski claimed that he would appeal the conviction.

Federal government is disappointed about Roger Clemens’ case

The desire of the federal government connected with the case of Roger Clemens was following: they desired to prove that this athlete had lied before the Congress about application of anabolic steroids and HGH. But the government couldn’t do it. It was expected that Andy Pettitte would say that Roger Clemens had admitted that he had applied the prohibited drugs during a conversation in 1999 or in 2000. But the testimony of Andy Pettitte was shocking for prosecutors. This man claimed that he couldn’t confirm that Roger Clemens had used steroids and HGH because he was not sure.
Actually, why were the prosecutors shocked by the affirmation of Andy Pettittte? This person swore for the 2008 Congressional hearings on administration of steroids in the Major League Baseball that Roger Clemens admitted to intake of HGH. But he pronounced opposite testimony at the Barrett Prettyman Federal Courthouse in Washington.
Michael Attanasio, a defense attorney for Roger Clemens, asked Andy Pettitte whether he may say that he is 50-50 that he has misunderstood Roger Clemens about HGH. Pettitte answered that he is really 50-50 about this factor.
When the prosecutors heard Pettitte’s answer, they became confused. They stated that Pettitte never said this way, when he was asked certain times.
The judge Reggie Walton claimed that he understood that Andy Pettitte’s answer has been conflicted. Actually, his statement was following: “I don’t know”.
The attorneys for Roger Clemens used the moment of the federal prosecutors’ embarrassment. They requested the judge to ignore the testimony of Andy Pettitte because he was 50-50. The attorneys concluded that he probably misunderstood Roger Clemens or he forgot the details of the conversation.
The government has noticed that the jury still allows taking into account the affirmation of Andy Pettitte. ASUSA Dunham has pointed out that under federal laws jury is allowed to choose which testimony to believe. This person hopes that the jury will brush aside the testimony that doesn’t support the government.
So, the testimony provided by Andy Pettitte and his wife led to problems. Testimonies of Andy’s wife during the first trial resulted in the declaration of a mistrial by the judge Walton.
Pettitte confirms that he is Roger Clemens’ friend. Clemens must also claim that they are friends after the last testimony of Andy Pettitte.

Cullen Mutrie shot five police officers, when they came to conduct search

Police officers raided the house of Cullen Mutrie for a drug investigation. This ma shot 5 police officers at his home. As a result of the shootout, the Greenland Police Chief Michael Maloney  was killed; four police officers were seriously injured. The next morning Cullen Mutrie and a woman were found dead.
It is suggested that this person was utilizing steroids at the time of the shootout. Jane Young, the New Hampshire Associate Attorney General, noticed that toxicology reports were waiting in order to find out whether metabolites of steroids were in the body of this person.
Police officials affirmed that Cullen Mutrie had had a very muscular physique. This man worked at Genetix Fitness in Seabrook. It was described that he was 6 feet 3 inches tall. Cullen Mutrie weighed 275 pounds. During a search which was in July 2010 law enforcement officials discovered anabolic steroids at his home. The police officer Wayne Young found them in a coffee table. He said that he had noticed a plastic bag with several vials. One vial was with powder; others contained liquid. The labels indicated that they were steroids.
The vials were analyzed by the New Hampshire State Crime Lab. It was determined that the vials contained such preparations, as Trenbolone Acetate, Sustanon 250, Boldenone Undecylenate and Nandrolone Decanoate.
John Miller, a professor of kinesiology, was asked whether a link between the deadly actions and aggressiveness due to anabolic steroids could present. The specialist affirmed that it was plausible. But according to him, it is impossible to confirm that there was a direct link between administration of anabolic steroids and the crime.
John Miller supposed that steroids that were on the black market were provided from legitimate pharmaceutical companies. But he has been mistaken because the majority of steroids which are offered for sales on the black market are manufactured in underground labs. It is even suspected that Mutrie produced steroids.
Since a link between criminal actions and administration of steroids is a controversial question, not only policemen but also media investigates the case related to this killer.

Alistar Overeem is surrounded by individuals with questionable characters

Alistar Overeem, a UFC fighter, appealed his suspension that was received by him for usage of anabolic steroids on April 24, 2012. But he couldn’t win his appeal against members of NSAC. This fighter forfeited his license for 9 months. Then he may obtain it again.
This fighter admitted that he had taken injectable testosterone that was advised him by his doctor. Overeem utilized the strategy that was considered to be boring. He noted that he had never administered anabolic steroids or other related drugs intentionally. Alistar Overeem tried to make the NSAC believe that his injectable application of steroids was accidental.
David Chenoff, the defense attorney for Alistar Overeem, is experienced in defending famous athletes.
David Chesnoff called the personal physician of Overeem to testify during the appeal. It was supposed that Dr. Molina would testify in defense for his patient. Testimonies of this health care provider were very pitiable. The physician Molina presented an explanation for recommendations of several drugs which resulted in Overeem’s increased testosterone: epitestosterone ratio.
The treating doctor of Alistar Overeem acknowledged that he indicated and injected this athlete with a mixture of Toradol and Dexamethasone because he suffered from an injury. In fact, these products are utilized for anti-inflammatory purposes. But application of testosterone for recovery from injuries is not approved by the FDA.
It is believed that the doctor Molina hasn’t informed this fighter that these drugs contain the anabolic steroid testosterone. But it is obviously that he has never asked about it.
So, testimonies of the doctor Molina turned out to manifest lack of the evidence related to medical needs for usage of forbidden medications by Alistar Overeem. The doctor couldn’t present any reasonable explanation that could justify recommendations of Toradol and Dexamethasone to this person. Testimonies of the doctor Molina worked against Alistar Overeem.
In fact, it became evident that Overeem was a victim of the doctor’s quack.
But it is possible to suppose that this strategy was designed by the defense attorney for this mixed martial artist.
The commissioner Pat Lundval was probably impressed by the defense of Overeem. She even called him a “smart guy”.
The members of the NSAC seemed to believe that Alistar Overeem has been actually a great guy but he has surrounded himself with such questionable individuals, as Dr. Moline. They advised him to look for more qualified professionals in the future.
