What should we do to keep American youth from steroid use?

American youth are fans of their sports stars. They have already a lot of such idols from the days of the baseball players Babe Ruth and Shoeless Joe Jackson till the stars of nowadays: the football player Peyton Manning and the baseball player Derek Jeter. Fans observe and repeat their every move.
Isn’t it dangerous to idolize sports stars of nowadays? It may be risky. Today sports heroes earn millions of dollars because of steroid use. Although the NFL and the MLB fight against usage of controlled substances, the war seems to be unsuccessful. Usage of steroids like cancer destroys sports. However American youth are taught about severe unwanted results of these preparations, the results are not satisfactory.
It is believed that youth are suppressed to administrate steroids. They put efforts to meet the required criteria of college admission; they adore current professional sportspeople. The all these aspects induce taking steroids.
Of course, all parents want their children to have success. If children go info sports, their parents want them to compete successfully and to continue to play professionally. Children understand that it is difficult to do it. Which are the results? The pressure influences greatly on American youth.  Over 10 % of teenagers feel that they need to cheat in order to be successful. College admission levels have dropped because of budget cuts. The Recovery Place supposes that it may cause the situation, when high school students will look for other ways to be able to stand out among crowds. Doping may seem for teenagers to be the best alternative mean.
American youth know that many professional sportspeople have succeeded differently. Some of them did it due to their talents and intensive trainings; others took steroids and other related medications. If American youth follow those who dope, which will be the consequences?
Prolonged intake of steroids can lead to addiction to these products.  Moreover, users of steroids may suffer from such undesirable results, as liver tumors, cancer, hypertension, icterus, kidney disorders and bad cholesterol. These unwanted reactions are considered to be dangerous; they may threaten to life.
Of course, parents don’t desire to see their children ill. They desire their children to reach goals because devotion to sports and intensive workouts. But it is difficult to do it because many others cheat, taking steroids. Now it is time to do everything to push out steroids. These medicines shouldn’t disturb to make real our dreams.

There are baseball players that don’t play yet clean

There is a topic that causes heated discussions. Especially baseball fans are excited, if they hear about steroids and their influence on this sport. So, if you desire to cause heated discussions, you only have to notice that several baseball stars win due to usage of steroids.
Different people have various opinions, when it comes to the topic about steroids. Sometimes it is difficult to understand why some persons that are involved in baseball take steroids. Do they play baseball just for money? Are they so blinded by money and praise that they do everything for these perspectives? Of course, the most respected baseball players are those who stay far from steroid use and win because of natural talents. Those deserve respect, honor and awards that are not lured to administrate forbidden medications for achievement of their goals.
It is believed that users of steroids must not be elected for the Hall of Fame. This aspect represents attempt to escape from shame linked with the steroid era. You may see efforts to leave all unpleasant effects in past and to move further. But do these efforts to condemn consumers of steroids mean that the steroid era is over? Actually, a wrong impression is created here. The steroid era is not behind us yet. Those who believe that blaming steroid users mean that baseball is drug-free are mistaken.
Everyone knows that numerous players of baseball have taken anabolic steroids and other related preparations. Furthermore, nobody doubts that today there are such baseball players who continue to take banned preparations. Many people debate whether a player with average skills can transform in a great player due to administration of prohibited preparations. Several persons claim that without proper talents steroids don’t profit. Talents should present. Others don’t agree with this statement. They claim that steroids may enhance performance whatever talent an athlete has.
But the problem is that we demonize players that dope alone. But not only players must be blamed for the steroid era. Everybody knows what happens actually during the steroid era.
It is unlikely that the steroid era is behind us. Baseball hasn’t yet past the dark clouds. Steroid use is still deeply in the heart of baseball. Decisive efforts must present to be convinced that doping doesn’t influence on baseball anymore.

A contract for playing in the MLB means improvement of life for Dominicans

The Major League Baseball tries to do everything to prevent intake of steroids. It desires to nip doping in the bud. Then it will be able to reach the big show. One of the locations where the efforts of the MLB are applied and clearly seen is the Dominican Republic.
Those that live in the Dominican Republic desire to play professional baseball in the U. S. This is not only a dream. This desire becomes real. So, the whole family drives. Unfortunately, numerous individuals are inclined to administrate steroids and other related medicines to achieve their goal.
The Dominican Republic is a country in which numerous individuals administrate steroids and other medications that promote performance. That’s why an athlete from this location is asked whether he has taken steroids or other related products. Undoubtedly, this individual confirms that he has never doped because tests are performed and everybody fears to be caught administrating any controlled substance.
The MLB subjects to tests sportspersons from the Dominican Republic. Thus, one year 13 persons out of 40 tested amateur sportspersons from this location tested positive. The MLB intends to tests Dominicans and to penalize those that dope.
It is proclaimed that the number of Dominicans that are sent to the MLB is essentially higher than the number of players that are sent from all countries of the Latin America.
The MLB puts significant efforts to push steroids out of baseball. Amateur players are taught about risks for their health associated with steroids. They are taught about adverse effects which may be provoked by steroids.
The financial position of the Dominican Republic is a great problem in this case. The average wage is about 8, 5000 dollars per year there. To get a signing bonus of 180, 000 dollars is a true achievement for any athlete from this Republic. That’s why athletes from this country are especially lured to dope for such perspectives. They desire to obtain a contract for playing professional baseball in the MLB. They want to get it for well-being of their families and for improvement of their lives in future. Getting a contract means moving from a rented small house to a private home, from poverty to normal life, from travelling by bus to driving own car.
Actually, usage of steroids is not a problem just in that is limited within the Dominican Republic. It is a problem that destroys the whole world. No one sportsperson may be sure whether he competes against an individual who has natural skills and talents or against an individual who dopes. That’s why it is necessary to nip usage of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs in the bud.
Youth must be taught about risks related to doping not just in the Dominican Republic or only in the U. S. but around the world.

Light hopes connected with baseball in future

The Major League Baseball endured some troublesome periods of time. It survived two situations that are claimed to be 2 world wars for baseball: the 1919 Black Sox scandal and the betting of Pete Rose on baseball. Nowadays the MLB experiences steroid era. It is widely believed that it will have ability to endure this period as well. There was a case that had a significant influence on baseball too. It was the case linked with Barry Bonds.
Of course, Barry Bonds was not the only baseball player that took medicines that increase performance. Moreover, he is not the last of them. Many baseball players have used prohibited preparations to promote performance. A lot of players of baseball have gotten praise and millions of dollars due to intake of banned drugs.
The sums of money which can be obtained justify the risks related to intake of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. The baseball players that use prohibited preparations do not care so scrupulously about their reputation, as they trouble about obtaining of money. Such persons are responsible for the influence which is spread upon fans who try to be similar to them and upon future generation that will have hot debates about baseball and the steroid era.
Nobody may doubt that any baseball player that uses steroids corrupts his honor. It is made only for money. Such individual trades own reputation just for getting money.
Nonetheless, it is believed that future of baseball is light. Many baseball players have talents and appropriate skills; they train hardly and devote themselves wholly to this sport. They are honest people. They keep their honor. Such players love baseball truthfully. They don’t worry just about money. Such baseball players are motivated by pure love to baseball.
Actually, the MLB is against steroids. But unfortunately, there are persons in every sport who take unfair advantage due to steroid use.
Our hope is following: we believe that the day comes, when we’ll see sportspeople who compete not because of administration of steroids and other related preparations but due to natural talents, skills and hard trainings.

Everyday many articles appear about steroids

The topic related to steroids appears everywhere. It is widely debated by a lot of people. Everyday numerous articles are written about these medications. You read news that report about persons that use steroids. You come across cases connected with those who are caught distributing steroids and sentenced to probation or imprisonment. However steroids are prescribed for numerous patients to cure them from several illnesses, administration of these preparations for enhancement of performance is more widely spread. It seems that it destroy the whole world.
Many persons are controlled by money. If they may earn money due to distribution or administration of anabolic steroids, they do it. They are not stopped by the laws. They apply and sell these medicines, in spite of the fact that they are considered to be illicit in several countries. Many individuals violate steroid laws because they may obtain money, selling and/or using steroids.
Undoubtedly, you have read many articles about wrestlers that have used forbidden medicines for many years. Some of consumers died due to sudden attacks, being young. But no one wants to acknowledge that fatal situations happen because steroids. Many individuals deny links between serious diseases and usage of steroids.
The Major League Baseball tries to escape from steroid era. We hope that the time comes, when baseball will be played without drugs and winners will be decided due to natural talent and skills of players but not due to preparations that cause performance-enhancing effects.
It is impossible to be convinced that you comprehend how wide spread usage of banned products is in professional and non-professional sports. Usage of steroids by competitive athletes is cheating. If athletes use medicines which increase performance, they lie. They take unfair advantage during competitions.
Any user of steroids that goes info sports should determine whether he/she has talent to be involved in sports. If he/she is not able to compete, he/she should have another job. Everyone should do the job he/she really is able to do. So, if you can’t play football, you should do another job.
There is a hope that intake of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs will be pushed out of sports. It may be that it will be soon in the future. Who knows?

Rivers Ashley was sentenced to imprisonment because he turned out to be in a wrong place at wrong time

The laws that ban usage of anabolic steroids have appeared because of certain conditions. They turned out to be responses to widespread usage of steroids in competitive sports. Anti-Doping Agencies believed that prohibition of steroids would keep professional athletes far from usage of illegal products. But criminalization of steroids influenced on intake of steroids by competitive sportspersons slightly.
The steroid laws usually don’t prosecute sportspeople that use illegal preparations. On the contrary, non-competitive athletes and recreational bodybuilders are usually targets of the steroid laws. They suffer due to results of violation of these laws.
This is not just one’s opinion. This is reality. Let see: who is sentenced to imprisonment because of distributing steroids? For example, Ashley Dewayne Rivers of Alabama received 5 months in jail because he had sold about $2000 worth of steroids to a health care provider. In fact, this individual was not the target of a steroid investigation. He only turned out to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The estranged wife of this doctor said to federal investigators that her husband was involved in operations of black steroid market. So, the statement of this lady led to the situation, when the health care provider was investigated.
Actually, Ashley Rivers was a dealer of steroids for short time. This man supplied his friends of his gym with these medicines. James Robinson, the defense attorney for Ashley Rivers, said that his client had understood his guilty totally and taken the total responsibility for his illegal actions.  The attorney noticed that Rivers was a moral man. Although he violated the steroid laws, he realized the dangers and admitted to his guilty.
The attorney for Rivers Ashley asked the judge to sentence Rivers Ashley just to probation.  Rivers cared about his physically impaired wife, 2 adopted children  and 3 children of his disabled brother. Furthermore, this man gave about 40, 000 dollars for persons that lost their homes due to tornadoes. It would be better, if this man were sentenced to probation. He would continue his work for his family and other people.
But Christopher Brinson, the Assistant U. S. Attorney, refused the request of the defense attorney James Robinson. He stated that Rivers committed a serious crime and he must serve time in jail. However the judge was inclined to agree with the request of the defense attorney James Robinson  at the beginning, finally he decided to agree with the Assistant U.S. Attorney and sentenced Rivers to 5-month imprisonment.
You may realize that steroid laws have just a slight influence on professional sportspeople.

Jose Canseco will be tested for prohibited drugs by the Quintana Roo Tigers

Jose Canseco is a former player of the Major League Baseball. This player was banned for intake of steroids. This former baseball player wrote a book “Juiced” in which he noticed that a lot of players of the MLB doped.
Now he has been invited to play for the Tigres de Quintana Roo of Cancun. Jose Canseco has proclaimed about his desire to play in the MLB again. Jose Canseco has written on Twitter that Cancun is his following step towards the MLB.
Jose Canseco has not played professional baseball since 2001 after he had played for the Chicago White Sox. Jose Canseco was probably blackballed by baseball because of his comments connected with steroids and described in the book “Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant ‘Roids, Smash Hits & How Baseball Got Big”.  He has called himself the “godfather” of steroids in baseball and took credit for introducing these preparations in baseball. This person openly acknowledged in his book that he had taken anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. This player mentioned also names of other baseball players that used steroids. Such persons, as  Mark McGwire, Juan Gonzalez, Rafael Palmeiro, Ivan Rodriguez, and Jason Giambi were identified by Jose Canseco.
Although anabolic steroids can be bought without any prescription at Mexican pharmacies, they are banned in MLB.
According to certain sources, Jose Canseco will be tested for forbidden products by the Quintana Roo Tigers.
The former baseball player claims that he has discontinued taking steroids some years ago. According to certain sources, since stopping using steroids it had been indicated testosterone replacement therapy for him to treat some problems linked with low level of testosterone.
Jose Canseco noticed that he had suffered from some adverse consequences because of usage of steroids. So, his physician had to recommend him a testosterone gel to relieve from low libido and depression.
While Jose Canseco put efforts to restore his natural testosterone production, he got certain troubles with laws. He was detained for about 9 hours by the San Diego Immigration and Customs Enforcement after he had been caught possessing a vial of HCG at the international border. His house was raided by police officials but no any steroids were discovered.
Although Jose Canseco will never escape from his steroid past, he put efforts to continue playing professional baseball.

Steroid exemptions are given in case intake of these medicines will not give unfair advantages to users

Some mixed martial artists have publicly admitted that they take anabolic steroids as a part of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) which has been recommended by doctors. The executive director of the Nevada State Athletic commission (NSAC) Keith Kizer confirms that this factor has created an impression among numerous individuals that steroid exemptions are given to permit MMA fighters to use the steroid testosterone.
During an interview with Ben Fowlkes of MMA Fighting Keith Kizer said that some people thought that any fighter could receive exemptions for usage of testosterone. He noted that he couldn’t say it about other states but he mentioned about the situation in Nevada. According to the executive director of the NSAC,  it is 50/50 whether a request for steroid exemption  will be approved.
TRT is a therapy that is required for adult males that suffer from hypogonadism (reduced testosterone levels). If sportspersons correspond to the medical criteria, they may be allowed to take steroids.
The NSAC has strict requirements for fighter who desire to get a therapeutic use exemption (TUE) for intake of steroids. An athlete must show the document which manifests that blood levels of testosterone are low.  But if an athlete has low level of testosterone, it is not enough to get a TUE. Treating physicians should identify reasons and medical conditions. The details connected with testosterone replacement therapy should be identified by health care providers as well. Each detail must display that certain athlete has to  administrate testosterone for therapeutic purposes and administration of steroids will not give unfair advantage to the fighter.
Several top athletes of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) have administrated steroids for TRT. Chael Sonnen, Nate Marquardt, Dennis Hallman and Dan Henderson belong to the starts of the UFC that take steroids for medical needs.
Keith Kizer, the executive director of the NSAC proclaims that ban of steroids makes MMA safer. He notes that if a fighter takes steroids, he/she takes unfair advantage as if it is used knuckles that are hidden inside gloves.  So, this is not only cheating. This factor is linked with dangers for life. If you say to a fighter that you can put knuckles in the gloves so, as no one will observe it, this person will ask you not to bother him. But it is strangely that such athlete administrates steroids.
Undoubtedly, administration of steroids has potential dangers to increase the harm which may occur in MMA.

A father that has given steroids to his son talks to high school athletes about risks connected with steroid use

James Gahan injected his son Corey who is 13 years old with anabolic steroids. He wanted him to become an Olympic athlete.
Corey Gahan is an inline skating champion at the national level. This boy won the 2004 Inline Speed Skating Nationals. He also won the 2nd  place at the 2005 National Indoor Speed Skating Championship.
Corey’s father pleaded guilty in possessing and injecting steroids to his small son. This person cooperated with a coach from Florida in order to provide Corey with testosterone, Deca Durabolin, HGH and HCG. He was arrested in May, 2004. As a result of his illegal actions, he was sentenced to 6 years in prison.
Since James Gahan had already completed his time in a prison, he was released. James Gahan started to confirm that his attitude to steroids and other prohibited medicines had been changed wholly. This person talked to high school athletes about risks linked with administration of steroids. It was a part of his community service to which James Gahan had  been sentenced by the court.
James Gahan said nothing about influence of steroids on the life and health of his 13-year old son. He noted just about own experiences with these medications. James Gahan added that if anyone wanted to see side results of anabolic steroids, he might manifest them because he used these products. He mentioned that he took 45 pills per day and his insides had eroded.
In fact, James Gahan didn’t explain what he meant, confirming that his insides had eroded because of steroids. He said nothing about his disease that required 45 pills per day!
This person said about Corey that he had known everything they had done. But he noticed that since he was the father, he took the complete responsibility upon himself. But James Gahan concluded that it would be better for his son to acknowledge that he had lied.
But Corey doesn’t want to talk to his father that has given him steroids. Earlier he has claimed that his father has never been sorry for injecting him with steroids; he has been sorry just because of being caught.

Colin Daynes’ athletic career will end after serving the 2-year ban

A Greco-Roman wrestler, Colin Daynes, hoped to represent Canada at the 2012 London Olympics. But his dreams will not be real. Usage of prohibited medicines caused this unpleasant case. Colin Daynes was caught taking steroids, diuretics and a selective estrogen receptor modulator.
Earlier Colin Daynes won the 74 kg division at the Canadian Wrestling Qualification Trials.
The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sports reported that Colin Daynes had tested positive for such prohibited preparations, as boldenone, drostanolone, furosemide and tamoxifen. Boldenone and drostanolone belong to anabolic steroids which are better known under their trade names: Equipose and Masteron. When it comes to Tamoxifen, it is known as Nolvadex. This medicine is usually used together with several others in order to reduce fluid retention. Furosemide or Lasix is a diuretic. Wrestlers use this medication as well as other diuretics to lose body weight in order to correspond to requirements of certain weight classes.
Colin Daynes acknowledged that he had taken anabolic steroids and other prohibited preparations intentionally. He said that he had taken these products to get recovery from a partially-torn bicep and an elbow injury.  But he added that he hadn’t known that these drugs were prohibited by the WADA. Colin Daynes blamed his doctor for this case. He said that he had consulted a naturopathic physician who recommended him using these products. Colin Daynes noted that if he had known that the preparations were forbidden, he would not have competed.
Colin Daynes represented Canada at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. After he won the national trials in 2008 he desired to compete at the Beijing Olympics. But he didn’t take part in this Olympics because he couldn’t qualify at the international level. Recently this person won the Canadian Wrestling Qualifying Trials in December, 2011, and had to secure his allowance for the 2012 London Olympics through the competition at the Pan American Wrestling Championship.
But due to usage of banned medications Colin Daynes has been sentenced to 2-year ban. It means that this wrestler is not permitted to compete till December 2012, when his athletic career ends as well.
Colin Daynes reported that he had represented the native country proudly. He concluded that people could judge him, if they wanted to do it after his 25-year successful career and everything he had done.

A 2-year investigation connected with Armstrong and his teammates was closed

The case against Lance Armstrong connected with doping is announced to be closed. This person remains to be considered a champion that won at the Tour de France 7 times.
It is known that federal prosecutors tried to determine whether this racing cyclist and his teammates have participated in a doping program. The duration of the investigation has been about 2 years.
Lance Armstrong denied that he has doped. The accusations against this cyclist threatened not only to his athletic career but also to his Foundation of cancer research and support. The efforts to prove that Lance Armstrong administrated steroids were in vain.
Lance Armstrong said that he had heard that the US Attorney’s Office made a decision to close the case. He confirmed that it was a right decision. Armstrong concluded that he was waiting to continue his usual life, being a father, a competitor and an advocate in the fight against cancer.
Andre Birote, an attorney announced during a press conference that the US Attorney’s Office closed the investigation linked with the case of Lance Armstrong. This attorney didn’t note about any reason of this decision. But he indicated that come previous similar investigations were also closed.
For example, the investigation connected with Barry Bonds was claimed to be less-than-successful. Prosecutors couldn’t prove that this athlete had cheated about administration of steroids. As for the case connected with Roger Clemens, the trial was indicated for another time because the judge proclaimed about previous mistrial.
Investigators suspected that a doping program was formed by Armstrong’s team. They tried to define whether it was so as they suspected. Authorities investigated whether Lance Armstrong encouraged or promoted doping.
In fact, prosecutors put efforts to determine whether Lance Armstrong and his team violated federal conspiracy and fraud charges. While Barry Bonds testified before a federal grand jury and Clemens testified before Congress, Armstrong was not forced to testify before a grand jury. Barry Bonds and Clemens were charged with lying under oath.
Frank, a former teammate of Lance Armstrong, and her wife Betsy Andreu accused Armstrong in administration of controlled substance. They noticed that they were shocked by the decision to close the investigation. They concluded that such situations happened due to power of money.

Scientific literature claims that steroids can’t cause brain cancer

The professor of Wisconsin’s University Norm Fost destroys several common misconceptions related to anabolic steroids. Although certain experts proclaim about dangerous and even life-threatening unwanted reactions of anabolic steroids, the doctor Fost denies these statements, claiming that they don’t have any scientific basis.
But statements of this expert are not so frequently quoted by media as affirmations about severe side reactions of steroids.  So, the message of Norm Fost that steroids are not so harmful, as it is believed, is noticed once for every 500-time statement that steroids represent a real evil.
Moreover, editors usually mislead readers, writing the quotes of this doctor wrongly. For example, a headline of a radio talk sounds following: “UW-Madison doctor: steroids aren’t harmful at all”. The headline is not correct. It is misleading. Norm Fost has never stated that steroids were not harmful at all. It is evident that these drugs can cause different negative reactions. Norm fost doesn’t deny probability of appearing  negative effects. In fact, this specialist says some other things. This expert notices that potential risks of steroids are significantly exaggerated. This specialist denies the statement that steroids lead to the rare form of brain cancer. According to certain sources, this caused the death of Lyle Alzado, a player of the NFL. Dr. Fost confirms that there is no any connection between the death of this player and steroids.
Alzado demonized his prolonged steroid abuse for the primary brain lymphoma that finally led to his death. Assertion of this person was the only evidence that indicated about the connection between his usage of steroids and the brain cancer.
But a question appears here. Why did Lyle Alzado make public his steroid use, blaming anabolic steroids for his diseases? Couldn’t you find this aspect strange?
In fact, it was said that AIDS had suppressed his immune system and induced destroying his body by the primary brain lymphoma.
A pathologist said that Alzado had had T-cell lymphoma that was connected with AIDS. According to Dr. Thomas DeLoughery, Alzado feared that the public would know that he died from AIDS because of the cancer.
Pathologists at OHSU reported that Lyle Alzado had had B-cell lymphoma which was not linked with HIV or AIDS.
The doctor DeLoughery explained the situation. He noted that T-cells of this person were inflamed but the malignant cells were B-cells.
While specialists disputed about AIDS and the type of cancer that Alzado had, no one of them claimed about connection between his brain lymphoma and intake of steroids.

The agent of Anna Watson tried to present her steroids as something good

Anna Watson, an university cheerleader of Georgia, said that she was pressured to take steroids to get a fitness modeling contract. Her modeling agent recommended her to administrate Anavar in order to get needed 50 pounds of muscles. This person was tempted but finally she refused to take steroids. She claimed that her body was “a temple” and she wouldn’t destroy it.
This lady mentioned that she had been tempted by intake of steroids numerous times. The agent tried to present steroids as something good.
It was noted that she would get a $75,000 per year fitness modeling contract, if she apply steroids and get 50 pounds of muscles. Anna Watson said that she talked to Elite Model Management representatives in Paris. Elite is one of the most prestigious modeling networks. Such super-models, as Adriana Lima, Cindy Crawfors and Gisele Bundchen belong to Elite.
But Anna Watson  has chosen to be better a cheerleader at the University than to be involved in the glamorous world. In addition to this aspect, this lady refused to use steroids because this action wasn’t in harmony with her religious principles. Anna Watson claimed that she didn’t serve a modeling agent but God. Anna Watson added that she had been created as a nice creation. This person made a conclusion that she would not break her moral and religious principles just to take photos. This lady  decided not to affect her health.
Some questions appear, reading these statements. One can ask whether Elite Model Management looks for models that have the same appearance like competitive female bodybuilders. Or may be Anna Watson just desire to draw public’s attention by taking advantage of bad attitude to steroids?
It is said that if Anna Watson gets 50 pounds of muscles, she will be allowed to compete on national bodybuilding stage. But what is for contract of 75, 000 dollars per year? Athletes know that such sums of money are not obtained easily even in sports. But may such large sum of money be obtained from modeling agency? It is controversial.
Female bodybuilders compete greatly to get prize money. Females with muscular bodies are more likely to obtain money from “schmoes” (males that have sexual fetish for muscular females) than from the most prestigious modeling agencies.

Superdrol and Promagnon were contained in the supplement that was used by King Mo Lawal

King Mo Lawal admitted that he had used a dietary supplement that was tainted. As it turned out to be, that supplement contained 2 ingredients which were synthetic steroids. According to this person and his manager, consumption of this product caused positive for Masteron.
King Mo Lawal said during an interview for MMA Hour that he had bought “S-Mass Lean Gainer” in a Max Muscle store in April, 2010. This product was manufactured by Steel Body Production.
But this is not the case, when steroid ingredients are not written. Synonyms of banned products are enumerated on the label of this product. Actually, these steroids were the subjects of some debates between anti-doping organizations and federal regulators since 2005. They are following:  2a-17a-Dimethyl-5aandrost-3-one 17b-ol and 4-Chloro-17a-Methyl-a-andro4-ene3, 17b-diol. These drugs are better known under the names: Superdrol and Promagnon.
As for Superdrol, it goes by methyldrostanolone, methasteron and 2a-17a-Dimethyl-5aandrost-3-one 17b-ol. So, methylated version of Masteron was determined in the urine sample of King Mo Lawal by a proper lab of the anti-doping agency.
The pharmaceutical company Anabolic Resources was the first that produced Superdrol as a dietary supplement. It was over 5 years ago. This company was accused in introducing of a new unapproved medication. Later the company pleaded guilty and admitted that they had marketed a synthetic steroid as a dietary supplement.  As a result, Anabolic Resources had to pay a fine of 500, 000 dollars.
As for Promagnon, it also initially appeared as a dietary supplement in 2005 by Peak Performance’ Labs. The government didn’t take any action against the company for manufacturing and selling this steroid. But Peak Performance decided to discontinue manufacturing this product in 2006.
Although legal status of these two substances is controversial, a lot of companies have produced and distributed them as dietary supplements during about 6 years. Undoubtedly, persons that are involved in this industry know about the status of these products but they continue to sell them.
Mike Kogan, the manager for King Mo Lawal, notices that the full responsibilities must be taken by the companies that market synthetic steroids as dietary supplements. This person believes that such companies misguide consumers intentionally.

Ryan Braun decided to accept his MVP awards and address with the speech about false positives

Although Ryan Braun of the Milwaukee Brewers faces a suspension for administration of anabolic steroids, he accepted his Most Valuable Player Award at the dinner of Baseball Writers Association. This sportsman didn’t admit to usage of prohibited products. This player said that he had become a victim of a false positive. This person fights against the results which have been proclaimed.
However it has been recently discussed whether users of steroids have right to be voted for Baseball’s Hall of Fame, they don’t forfeit their Most Valuable Player awards. Even admitted users of steroids don’t forfeit their MVP awards.
Jack O’Connell made it clear that Ryan Braun would be allowed to keep the MVP awards. Earlier other steroid users were permitted also to keep their MVP awards. For example, Ken Caminity kept his 1996 MVP award; Alex Rodriquez kept his 2003 MVP award. Both these sportspersons acknowledged that they had taken steroids.
According to testosterone: epitestosterone (T: E) ratio, Ryan Braun had increased level of testosterone in October 2011. The T: E ratio has manifested about exogenous type of testosterone. Actually, this test can’t manifest actual quantity of used testosterone.
Another method of testing was used by the World Anti-Doping Agency accredited lab in Montreal to confirm the analysis of the T: E ratio testing. It was used carbon isotope ratio testing which confirmed about existence of exogenous testosterone.
Numerous sportswriters thought that Ryan Braun should have forfeited his MVP awards because of the positives for prohibited medications. But this person made another decision. Ryan Braun decided to accept the awards and address with the speech about false charges with intake of steroids.  Ryan Braun said that characters of individuals are revealed in such cases of adversary. Ryan Braun claimed that he had a great respect to baseball. This player concluded that he made a lot for his career in this sport but he had done everything with respect and appreciation towards baseball.
It was said that Braun had been one of the youngest players of the Major League Baseball who didn’t need to use steroids to be able to play. When this player found out about positive of Alex Rodriquez for steroids, he was too surprised.  He said that Alex Rodriquez should have been enough honest to admit to intake of prohibited medications.
Ryan Braun decided to fight against the results of his tests, saying that unusual circumstances surrounded this case. The baseball player announced that he would prove his innocence and false positives.

A young cyclist from France was suspended for 3 years

Intake of anabolic steroids and other medications that increase performance is widespread among amateur and professional sportspeople. It isn’t surprisingly, if sportspersons test positive for forbidden medicines. But there are certain unusual situations, when an individual tests positive for many banned medicines. Here is an example.
Alexandre Dougnier, a teenage amateur French cyclist tested positive for more than 10 banned preparations, including more than 5 steroid metabolites. It was at a race in France in May, 2011. He has been sentenced to 3-year ban from competitions.
It was defined that this young cyclist had administrated such steroids, as Anavar, Dianabol and Winstrol. Other steroid metabolites that were discovered in his urine sample included  3-Hydroxystanozolol, 16b-Hydroxystanozolol, 4b-Hydroxystanozolol, Oxandrolone, epi-Oxandrolone, 6b-Hydroxymethandienone and 17-epi-Methandienone.
This amateur cyclist was a member of the Parisian Athletic Club de Boulogne-Billancourt. Certain persons note that this cyclist might have been a follower of the club’s doper Jacques Anquetil. This person has been considered to be a famous individual of cycling’s history. Jacques Anquetil was a member of the club de Boulogne-Billancourt in 1950s and 1960s. Jacques Anquetil was the first cyclist that had won the Tour de France 5 times. This person had received also 2 Olympic medals.
Jacques Anquetil used steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. Furthermore, this cyclist defended doping during a TV debate with the French sports minister. He noted that it was not possible to endure cold, heat waves and rain in mountains during cycling without doping. He confirmed that only a fool person would endure this agony connected with the extreme sport of cycling without performance-enhancing drugs. This famous cyclist added that drug testing might deprive individual liberty. Jacques Anquetil concluded that everyone doped.
It is necessary to notice steroids were not so widespread among cyclists in 1950s and 1960s. Usage of more dangerous amphetamines was more widespread during those years. As for intake of anabolic steroids, it has become more widespread during past 2 decades.
Let observe which affirmations have been said about steroids, when other cyclists have been caught taking them. When the cyclist Floyd Landis was caught using testosterone, it was claimed by his legal team that neither anabolic steroids, nor other performance-enhancing drugs were able to enhance performance in cyclists.  As for the distributor of steroids Joseph Papp, he didn’t agree with this statement. He mentioned that usage of steroids was widespread in elite cycling. According to his words, any individual can administrate testosterone gels in a clever way without being detected by anti-doping programs: users of transdermal testosterone must take in consideration time of detection.
Alexandre Dougnier wasn’t cautious and didn’t attempt to avoid detection. He probably didn’t suppose that cyclists would be tested for banned products at the race in Aubervilliers.

Rampage Jackson revealed his dislike towards King Mo Lawal

Quinton Rampage Jackson and King Mo Lawal don’t like each other. They didn’t manifest their dislike to each other for some years. During an interview Lawal noted about their relationships, noticing that he doesn’t have good opinion about  Rampage Jackson who also doesn’t like him.
That’s why it isn’t surprisingly at all that Rampage Jackson expressed his thoughts about the fact connected with Lawal’s positive for drostanolone (Masterone).
Jackson noticed that it was quite evident that King Mo Lawal had administrated steroids. He noted that King Mo wasn’t a true fighter. He administrated steroids to have ability to compete.
Rampage Jackson noticed that there were fighters that were allowed to take steroids. He referred to those who had to take steroids for testosterone replacement therapy. This person noted that it was an essential difference between goals. Fighters and other sportspersons are allowed to use steroids for TRT and not for enhancement of performance, according to Quinton Rampage Jackson.
He notes that there are persons that experience certain health troubles. They consult their doctors that prescribe steroids. They take these medicines in order to to escape from their diseases and to stay competitive. But Ranpage Jackson adds that there are fighters who take steroids in order to enhance their performance. It is quite sadly, according to this person.
However, intake of steroids for testosterone replacement therapy by sportspeople is a quite controversial issue.
Such fighters, as Dennis Hallman, Chael Sonnen, Nate Marquardt and Dan Henderson acknowledged that they had administrated steroids because of hypogonadism.
Thus, Rampage Jackson is a fighter who confirmed about permission to administrate steroids as a part of TRT by athletes. But there are other fighters who don’t support this opinion. A lot of sportspersons have the same point of view as Michael Bisping has. They confirm that steroid use is just justified by medical conditions. They believe that all fighters that take anabolic steroids, noting that they are on TRT, are cheaters.
King Mo Lawal says that he is not guilty, claiming that his manager has heard nothing about the steroid Masterone. Both Lawal and his manager say that they are really surprised by the results of the test.
A fight between Jackson and Lawal was waiting by many fans. There were certain rumors that they would fight in February, 2012. But the hopes of fans were not justified. Lawal must serve a suspension.

Rough war on Twitter between Santos and Rousey

the president of the UFC Dana White announced about the end of the female featherweight division in Strikeforce. He noted that it was related to positive of Christiane Cyborg Santos for Winstrol. Dana White confirmed that this factor would promote the ending of the whole division. Santos lost her title. That’s why Dana White came to the conclusion related to the end of the division.
It is said that Dana White didn’t suggest which would be the response of certain persons to the Winstrol metabolites that had been discovered in Santos’ sample. He didn’t except that a great war would start on Twitter between well-known female mixed martial artists.
Rowdy Ronda Rousey who is the top of female MMA featherweight and who has received the bronze medal in judo noted about her dislike to administration of anabolic steroids and her attitude to Cyborg Santos.
Rowdy Rousey made her thoughts about this question public. She expressed them during an interview with TapouT Radio. She said that intake of steroids was caused by uncertainty of athletes in their skills, strength and abilities. Rowdy Rousey pointed out that the decision to apply performance-enhancing drugs came from the feelings that the persons were not enough skilled to win in competitions. She added that intake of steroids and other related drugs showed psychological weakness of consumers. According to this female fighter, this weakness promotes cheating.
Rowdy Rousey noted about her attitude to the suspension of Cyborg Santos during several interviews. She talked to Mauro Ranallo during “The MMA Show” that she knew that Cyborg Santos had administrated banned preparations. She noticed that she never had respect toward the steroid user. Rowdy Rousey concluded that she was happy to know out that Santos had been caught and suspended.
As for Santos, she became angry because of Rousey’s affirmations. She told her fans on Twitter that Rousey would be her next victim at the fight. The fight will probably be after serving of the suspension by Santos. She thinks that she will be welcomed by Strikeforce.
Santos wrote following words, referring to Rowdy Ronda Rousey: “Proxima victim…Ronda! No mercy!!” Santos posted a photo of Gina Carano after she defeated her at Strikeforce Female Championship. But she didn’t post the real photo. Instead of it, she used Photoshop to exaggerate the damages which were inflicted by her upon Gina Carano.
Rowdy Rousey didn’t hesitate much time; she responded to the comments and the picture at once. She had rough expressions for Cyborg Santos, blaming her for cheating and for hosting  the photo, applying Photoshop.
Many individuals confirm that the war on Twitter between Rowdy Ronda Rousey and Christiane Cyborg Santos is more entertaining than some real fights. It seems that this war is the preparation for the fight between Rousey and Santos that will probably take place in 2013.
