It was even earlier suspected that Beltran supplied sportspersons with steroids and other related products and taught them how to avoid being caught. This doctor was arrested in Italy after he was caught driving his car that contained steroids and other doping medicines.
Nuno Ribeiro, a Portuguese professional cyclist, accused the physician Beltran in injecting him with forbidden drugs after he tested positive for CERA in 2009.
The runner Jose Luis Blanko assisted in the steroid investigation which had been conducted against Beltran after this sprinter tested positive for EPO at the 2012 Spanish Athletics Championships.
Beltran moved to Bahrain in 2009. Since that time the physician had no any direct contact with any athlete.
